1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Line Media, 26 Rue Pierre Robin, 69007 Lyon, France. Contact: contact@broadcastwitch.com. This policy covers the broadcastwitch.com website, the purchase of BW Logger licenses and the license activation service used by the App.

2. Visiting this website

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads all of its assets, including fonts, from its own server. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) processes standard technical server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser user agent) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. These logs are kept for the limited periods defined by our host's log-rotation policy.

3. Data we process and why

When you buy a license

Checkout is operated by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (part of Stripe), acting as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects the data needed for the purchase (name, email address, country, tax information where relevant, and payment details) under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your card details. From Lemon Squeezy we receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so that we can issue your license and comply with accounting obligations. Legal bases: performance of a contract and legal obligations.

When you activate the App

Activating a license sends to our activation service: your license key, the email address linked to it, a pseudonymised machine identifier (a derived value that does not reveal information about your computer but is linked to your license), the App version, and the time of the request. This is used to enforce the number of activations attached to your license and to prevent fraud. Legal bases: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in preventing license abuse. After activation, the App does not require an internet connection.

When you contact us

If you email us, we process your address and the content of the correspondence to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or performance of a contract for support requests.

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not run advertising or tracking of any kind on this website.
• We do not collect video, audio or the content of your productions; the App logs switcher metadata locally on your computer, and your sessions and exports stay on your machine.

5. Who receives data

• Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA), merchant of record for purchases, as an independent controller for payment processing.
• Hostinger International Ltd. (EU), hosting of this website.
• Our license activation service, operated by Line Media on infrastructure located in the European Union.
• Our transactional email service, used to send license keys and receipts.

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, for example to Lemon Squeezy in the United States, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data

• License records (key, email, activations): for the life of the license, as it is a lifetime product, then deleted or anonymised.
• Purchase records: for the retention periods required by French accounting and tax law.
• Activation service logs: up to 12 months.
• Website server logs: held by our host for the limited periods of its log-rotation policy.
• Support correspondence: up to 3 years after the last exchange.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. You may also define directives concerning the retention, erasure and disclosure of your personal data after your death. To exercise these rights, write to contact@broadcastwitch.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or the authority of your country of residence.

8. Security

Data in transit is protected with TLS. We collect the minimum data needed for licensing, restrict access to it, and keep the activation database on infrastructure we control.

9. Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add new tools or providers. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision; significant changes will be visible on this page.
